THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE:

A night sky enthusiast
Eager to learn how to take photos at night / in a low light environment
Looking for a unique experience with your camera
Eager to get tips and tricks for your own photography

Recommended for medium-advanced levels of photography (good understanding of the camera's manual functions and tripod available)

THE WORKSHOP ITSELF:

Night photography is a fascinating and contemplative experience, as much as a technical exercise that is more difficult than it seems. Capturing the details of the Milky Way or a starry sky depends as much on the camera's low-light performance as on the photographer's shooting and post-processing skills.

This workshop will introduce you to astrophotography and give you the chance to learn more about it. From basic low-light settings and optimising camera settings at the time of shooting (exposure triangle) to advanced concepts on how to induce or limit star trails and the resulting relationships between exposure time, focal length and sensor resolution.

For more advanced participants, the concept of ISO sensor invariance can be introduced and used to optimise files for post-processing, with particular emphasis on focusing techniques to obtain in-focus foregrounds and stars.

PRACTICAL INFO:

The starting time and the meeting point will be sent to you a few days before the workshop.
